Recent National Science Foundation (NSF) grant awards are increasing the diversity of advanced cyberinfrastructure resources, and the national research community XD ecosystem (that is, the Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE) and the service provider resources supported in part by XSEDE) is becoming more diverse. In this paper, we describe Jetstream, the first cloud resource funded by the NSF to provide general purpose, cloud computing resources across all science and engineering domains supported by XSEDE.
